‘Freedom Begins with an Act of Defiance’ is the tag line of the upcoming war movie Defiance. The true story based movie is directed as well as written by Edward Zwick in production with Pieter Jan Brugge. The 50 million $ budgeted movie is all set to be released on 12th December, 2008. The movie stars Daniel Craig of James Bond fame, Live Schreiber and Jamie Bell etc. The background score and the music of the movie are given by James Newton Howard and the movie is distributed by Paramount Vantage.

The screenplay of the movie is also written by Clayton Frohman. The movie has been rated as R because of the use of bad language as well as for some violence in fighting sequels and the movie is shot at the locations of Lithuania.The movie is about three Jewish brothers Tuvia Bielski, Zus Bielski, and Asael Bielski who are from West Belarus.

They successfully manage to escape from the Nazi occupied area of Poland. They escape to the Belarussian forest, where they meet with the Russian forces. They decide to join in with the Russian resistance fighters and swear to create a village of the other fugitives and slaves of the Nazi camp to keep everyone safe and prevent the same for the future.

They manage to save 1200 other Jews showing the courage and determination. The film shows many fight sequences, where a lot of blood has been shed; Daniel Craig gives another masterpiece of his acting skills.
